Drew Kaufman is a writer, director, and cartoonist living in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the School of Visual Arts and majored in wasting his parent's money so he could decide he doesn't like weed. Recently, Drew animated two cartoons for Comedy Central and he is really damn proud of that. He has written for Vice, Above Average, Funny or Die, College Humor and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.com (seriously). Drew was one of the editors of satirical punk news website, The Hard Times during their first year.
Drew has loved heavy metal music since he was a dumb baby boy. He co-created a metal-themed talk show called Two Minutes to Late Night with his former bandmate, Jordan Olds. After releasing their pilot online, Drew and Jordan started creating comedic shorts with bands they admire and formed a production company called Mrs. Woman Productions.
Drew is also one half of the sketch comedy duo Pizza Time. Before that, he was in a sketch group called Bleak! Comedy for seven years, who had their own bi-monthly show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and did such cool things as headline the National College Comedy Festival and Austin Sketch Fest. Drew also taught sketch writing and directed live shows which were featured at Seattle Sketch Fest, New York Comedy Fest, and Philadelphia Sketch Fest. The Chicago Tribune once said that a show Drew directed at Chicago Sketch Fest seemed "ill prepared."
Vice still owes him $100.
